Topical hydrogen in DOMS trial

Questioning post-exercise recovery

During the past few days, we started new trial evaluating the effects of topical hydrogen on biomarkers of delayed onset of muscle soreness (DOMS) after exhaustive eccentric exercise in young men. The small-scale double-blind placebo-controlled randomized trial actually tries to find out weather 30-min single-session bathing with super-saturated hydrogen-rich water attenuates DOMS induced by heavy exercise, as analyzed by changes in several muscle enzymes, myoglobine and inflammatory indicators. This is yet another trial with hydrogen-rich water produced by HRW Natural Health Products Inc., our long-standing research partner and patron.
