Overcoming restraints of creatine

New paper in Trends in Food Science

Creatine is arguably among the most popular dietary supplements of the XXI century. During the past two decades, this natural glycine derivative has been extensively investigated and practiced in sports nutrition, while recent trials begin to advance its use to the general population and various health conditions. However, besides all the known benefits and favorable safety profiles of creatine supplementation reported in the vast scientific and medical literature, creatine utilization remains limited in specific circumstances. In this new paper, we discussed several innovative approaches that might provide an exotic window of opportunity for overcoming restraints of dietary creatine and perhaps improve its cellular levels.
