Hydrogen as glucagon-like peptide-1 mimetic

New trial on hydrogen-rich water in obesity

We are nearing the final stage of a new randomized controlled trial in our lab. Over the past few months, we initiated a study evaluating the effects of an 8-week hydrogen-rich water (HRW) intervention on body composition, appetite, and various metabolic indices in obese men and women. The study specifically aims to investigate HRW’s potential as a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) mimetic in this sensitive population.
