Creatine plus GAA for brain oxygenation

Short-term effects on cognition and brain oxygenation

This week, we commenced a new randomized, crossover, placebo-controlled trial designed to assess the impact of a short-term supplementation regimen with a creatine-guanidinoacetic acid mixture on brain oxygenation in the prefrontal cortex, as well as several neuropsychological outcomes in both healthy men and women. This study is part of our ongoing research program aimed at elucidating brain function following different creatine protocols, with the ultimate goal of identifying safer and more effective interventions to address cerebral bioenergetics.
