Creatine in ASD

Variability of creatine metabolism in ASD

We have recently initiated a new phase of our trial investigating creatine metabolism in autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This long-term study aims to examine creatine turnover in children with ASD in relation to age and disease severity by assessing tissue creatine levels across the brain, as well as circulating concentrations of key creatine metabolites and precursors. Following this assessment, the study will continue to explore the potential impact of creatine supplementation on this complex neurodevelopmental disorder.
