Creatine and sperm viability
New randomized trial with creatine
Sperm relies on a constant energy supply to maintain its cellular functions, and creatine may play a pivotal role in meeting these energy demands. This week, we initiated a new RCT to assess the potential effects of eight-week creatine monohydrate supplementation (with and without coenzyme Q10) on sperm quality biomarkers in normospermic and oligospermic men. This trial aims to investigate whether creatine could be a promising component of a paternal preconception diet, aligning with our hypothesis described here.
